Can someone give a quick bit of basic info about Hsing_i. What kind of style is it.I know nothing about it. Maybe just a link to a good site.

This web site is a good place to start. Then there is www.hsing-i.com.
With out going too deep, Hsing-I is based on the five elements and each element is linked to a particular body function or area. It is also one of the oldest surviving arts. Hsing-I is not fast paced with all the high kicks like Tae-Kwon-Do.

who was the creater I've heard of a story of hsingyi beeing created by this warrior or general who also created eagle claw.

General Yueh Fei did not create or invent Hsing-I, he only popularized it by teaching it to his troops about a thousand years ago. Hsing-I is around 4500 years old. Hsing-I is one of the three internal styles and is in the Wu Tang division. The only other division is Shaolin. |

Agreed Zero. I should have stated that more clearly I but Yuh Fei was the name they were looking for. I agree that he only popularized the art.

Rep Power: 38 | | | I know its a good website, i've had it book marked for ages now. I got a good book the other day with hsing I techniques in it - had 5 elements and 12 animals. Was impressed.
