Rep Power: 32 | | | Question for the Jitsu players So how does Danzan Ryu stack up against Jiujitsu/Jujiutsu/BJJ/Judo/Aiki-jijiutsu/etc...
From what I've gathered so far, Danzan Ryu has some Karate/Judo/JJ/FMA knife fighting techniques/Lua all included. Anyone have the priviledge of rolling with these guys? I'm considering taking some classes and would like to know how it compares to the above.
Thanks in advance! |

For example, BJJ will not have any of the karate stuff or FMA stuff but as far as groundfighting/submission fighting it is leagues ahead of DanzanRyu. If you want karate, study a karate style... if you want submission grappling, train in BJJ... if you want FMA skills then train in FMA... if you want a little bit of all of it slightly developed then Danzan is the way to go...

Nah.... most people on the street are pure scrubs with no training at all and a large percentage of the rest are people who are deluded into thinking they have some sort of skills... Of course there are gang bangers and things like that but as for people being "martial killing machines"... that's just a myth.

Thanks Cam, that's kind of the answer I was looking for. I'm looking for purely groundfighting/submission training. There's a Ralph Gracie school in my city, I'll have to check that out. |

Rep Power: 32 | | I have kind of this stigma about BJJ players, and most of the time it's dead on. But I guess I need to loose that before I start training or could make for some difficult training. |
