even more I think
but 100 man kumites can be done over a span of 2 days if I'm correct
there have been 1 or 2 guys that also actually won all 100 fights
should be in wikipedia probably

"The challenge was devised by Masutatsu Oyama, founder of Kyokushin and the first person to complete it. He completed the kumite 3 times over 3 consecutive days. The second was Steve Arneil. As of 2007, only 16 people are known to have completed the challenge. The 20-man and 50-man variations have also been employed; Masutatsu Oyama reportedly completed a 300-man fight."

Thought this was a pretty neat clip of Russian Kyokushin vrs Chinese TKD. Noticed that most Karate guys are solid more muscular and TKD guys and leaner more springy.

Take and easy and try to get into shape before classes. I've used to go to the Seattle Kyokushin school to spar due to a lack of willing partners at my CLF school, and my god they were nasty people. Humble and awesome people, but nasty and raw in what they do.

Ok so I went to the school to observe the class and liked what I saw. Kind of crazy they had to do 80 push ups and a 140 abs as part of the "warm up" lol. I'm very intrested in the full contact aspect of the style along with tourny's. The Assistant teacher sent this e-mail to me explaining "their" approach to full contact. Do you guys think its a waste or just the right thing? Thanks!
"Thanks for stopping in to watch a class. I hope I was able to answer most of your questions.
There’s one thing I just wanted to clarify a little bit more concerning full contact fighting training. The majority of training for full contact is basically the same as semi contact/ lighter fighting; same drills, same footwork, fighting strategy, timing, etc. The only difference is the amount of force/power added. And when we are getting fighters ready for upcoming competition, we step up the stamina, conditioning etc.
I know you’re interested in full contact fighting but I want to make sure you’re clear on a few things. You would be training in the regular class and working on quite a few other aspects of Kyokushin besides fighting. There are some dojos that do strictly fighting but we are not one of them. We don’t do sparring every night and some weeks (because class is only twice a week plus alternate Sat.) we don’t do any at all. I wanted to make sure you understood that so as not to be disappointed later on.
Once you gain a bit of experience in the class and want to train for competition, we can help you to get ready by working with you in some additional informal training sessions (but the majority of your training would be in the regular class). It’s not possible for us to offer additional fighter training sessions on a regular basis. They would be scheduled based on availability of the training space and Shihan’s schedule. I just wanted to be sure I explained that clearly."

all kyokushin schools I know spend (for the adults that is) at least 30% of every single class sparring
