Rep Power: 31 | | | The Kyokushin school I went to sparred after the "normal" class every time, but it was usually medium to heavy contact, almost never "full" contact. However they would push it up a notch when they were preparing for tournaments, etc.

Rep Power: 31 | | | Dude I think you will be fine . . . . do a lot of anaerobic drills and conditioning on your free time and lots of bagwork, you don't have to spar EVERYDAY.

Rep Power: 29 | | | Besides if your conditioning is below standard, you'll get hurt when you're sparring with kyokushin guys. |

Rep Power: 12 | | | I'd like to be a proficient fighter from a ring/tournament perspective. I'd also like to learn the Japanese that they teach in class with the traditional forms.
Coming from a strong Boxing background it's strange for me NOT to spar every practice. That's why Kyokushin caught my eye for a Karate class.

Rep Power: 29 | | | I can understand your point of view. I guess when you're used to sparring, then that's something you would want to do every day. For me if I can't practice Chi-sau on a daily basis, it's the same thing. | |
