Rep Power: 127 | | | What's there to do in Michigan? So DL'ers in MI. What's going on up there? I'll be in MI for the 23rd/ 24th, and 30th/ 31st for my job. Just wondering what there is to do up there?
And what places to avoid!!

drive by's (in detroit), rifle ranges,... or just shooting things in general. Oh you could always see a tigers game. Also apparently MI is also fascinated with this sport called golf. Finally there are several large bodies of water surrounding the state, so I guess water sports are always game.
Note: I'm not from MI but my father's family lives there. I visit every now and then.

If you are on the west side of the state go to the beaches. If you are going to Detroit.....you should check the concert schedules for the area I guess.
What city are you going to?

Rep Power: 87 | | It's been hot and humid all summer. I would head for the beach http://www.woodtv.com/global/Story.asp?s=399244 . If you like mt biking: The Jeep King of the Mountain 2005 World Pro Mountain Biking Championships comes to Pando ski center in Grand Rapids…
Following is a listing of free public events taking place over the weekend: Friday, July 22 – Athlete Autograph Signing and Introduction Event
Where/When: Check the web site for details on time and location
Come meet some of the world’s top mountain bike racers in person:

Mike King – 67 career top-3 finishes;
Chris Powell – 3rd place 2004 U.S. Championships;
Katrina Miller – 2004 JKOM Champion;

Rep Power: 127 | | | Sweet TCM, thanks for the info. As for food?? Well I'd have to say Korean.. go figure. Unless you guys got Hawaiian food up there? My schedule may be a little tight. I land in Grand Rapids around 9pm on Saturday. Sunday will probably be spent killing myself getting our test site ready as I leave Monday morning.
If you have time to spare, maybe we could meet for a bite on Sunday or something. I'll send you a pm.

Rep Power: 87 | | | Good news is I got to meet Jaws! Bad news is his job finished late and I only got to talk to him for an hour. If he had gotten done earlier I was going to introduce him to my sifu and some of the guys in my class...but we had fun anyway. I think I talked his ear off and didn't leave until 10:30 pm...and then realized the guy still had to eat dinner.
Sorry Jaws! Next time, my treat!
