Ya gotta love Lovecraft, he does great, and interesting work.

Enemies of Rome, a very good/interesting historical book on Rome's greatest enemies.

"Master of Lucid Dreams," by Olga Kharitidi, M.D.

It's about healing of emotional trauma via a blend of the esoteric and science. I'm stuck in the middle. I'm thinking of contacting the author. Hope I can get unstuck and finish the book first.

Well, when a new book in a series comes out I generally read it then go through the whole series again. So I'm almost finished with Order of the Phoenix again then I'll go through Half-Blood Prince again. After that I think I'll head to the Hitchhiker's series since I has as yet to read it even once.

Other than pleasure reading I've got a nice hefty SQL book to get through for work. Why do they always seem to give you new tasks that you have no experience with?

Murakami - the elephant vanishes. Put it off till I'd read the others a few times. Not his best.

Jasper FForde -lost in a good book.

Finished those today. Have been browsing through a collection of Matthew Arnold. Will probably pick up some Kafka and the latest FForde tomorrow and that should keep me going till the weekend. Need to read some Camus but putting it off.

Still working on Oracle 10g DBA certification ... at least it's just a case of learning the marketing buzzwords for stuff I've been doing years.

Lovecraft is great.

I'm reading "Chimaera", the final book in the Well of Echoes series by Ian Irvine. Absolutely fantastic.
After that I'm onto "Islam in the World" in an effort to try and understand WTF is happening these days.

I have a bad habit of juggling books so try and follow me:

1/2 way through "The Gnostic Gospels"

Just finsihed new harry potter about 10 minutes ago (I'm ashamed)

Rereading "The Dark Tower" by king

Rereading "Beyond Good and Evil"

3/4 way through "To Sail beyond the sunset" (every book in this series baffles me..and I love it)

I got a ton of stuff I wanna read before Fall symester starts though

Do many of you folks re-read your books? I can't get on with it myself, unless it's a non-fiction. Is it time for a top 5?
