I dont know if those links will work, but if it does that is a picture of my baby girl, Lilith Anne. She was born on Dec. 23rd at 2:24 am. She was 6lbs 10oz and we came home on chirstmas day.
I'd write more now but I'm running a bath, so I have to go. I'll write more when I get a chance, but I'll be busy for a while.

Rep Power: 15 | | | i went to kung fu on the 21st and attempted everything. i did about 65 jumping jacks at the beginning of class and was told not to do any more (though they did seem to stop the mild contractions i had been having just before) and then continued the rest of class with everyone else.
I woke up at 2:55am on the 22nd with contractions coming every 2 mins apart and they were steady through till about 4am, I called labor and delivery and they told me it was just cramps because with real labor it will start off weaker and farther apart and build to what I was saying and they told me not to come in. I went and had a bath cause i heard that eases the pain sometimes and they did completely calm down by about 6. I went back to sleep (I had been trying since about 3:30 but couldn't cause of the constant pain) and woke up with bad "cramps" at 7, that didnt last long and I went back to sleep and woke at 8 with more "cramps" but they were very light compaired to 3 so I wasn't worried. My dad decided that he would leave for work thensince i was fine. he got about half way there and I called saying that I was bleeding and he came home and took me to the hospital.
They checked me, said eveything was fine, that the gushing blood was nothing and said that the pains I had were just cramps, or realy mild contractions that you get weeks before birth. They said it would be earliest 3 days before I had the baby. I went home and the "cramps" came back around 9am and stayed increasing and about every 5 mins apart. I called the hospital 3 more times and they kept telling me that I wasnt in labour because it was only cramps and they were too close togewther to often with no build up. At 10pm my dad called in almost yelling at them saying they had to be wrong if i couldnt walk or talk through them and they were coming constantly since 9am. They told him the same thing, but said that I could always come in to the hospital, they would call in the obstetrition from her bed to come see me, then send us home again. My dad said "we'll see you in ten minutes" and told me to get dressed. At that point I couldnt even put on pants when I got out of the tub cause I was getting these really strong "cramps" every time I moved something below my shoulders. I through on my kung fu sweater and a robe and went into the hospital at 10 pm.
The "cramps" of course died down to practically nothing when I hit the hospital doors. The nurse looked like she was very displeased with my being there but hooked me up anyway. After she did her check she said everything was fine and would be about 3 days to a week before the baby came and to go home and take some tylonel if the /cramps/ (she stressed) were that bad. The obstetrion came in and asked to check my cervix just to see where it was and when she left the room the nurse came back in the she sat on the edge of my bed and said "ok, little change of plans...your going to have the baby tonight. We're gonna move you over to the delivery room now, is there anyone you want called before the baby is born, cause we should call them now."
I had the gas and the epidural and started pushing at 1 am on the 23rd, she was born at 2:24am. Her auntie and her daddy were both in the room. they said only 2 people could come in further than the lobby, but both sets of grandparents, my sister and the father and his cousin were all in the waiting room.
We came home on the 25th and we had our first visit out of the house that night over to daddy's. I'll write more, but I've been writing this since 9 and its 12:30 now and I have a crying baby and a guest.

Rep Power: 143 | | | Wow, wild stuff! Seems like every delivery is different but ya gotta love that smug attitude from the hospital staff.
My mom helped my sister-in-law deliver her first baby many years ago, she wouldn't leave the delivery room especially after one point when my sister-in-law asked the nurse "Why is the baby's heart rate (on the monitor) going down?" and the nurse said "Oh, that happens sometimes right before they're born." And my mom said, "No, THAT means that the cord is wrapped around the baby's neck!" and she ran and got the doctor who agreed. Problem was solved quickly and the baby was fine, but if she hadn't been there...
Anyway, I'm glad your family was all there and congratulations! I won't be able to look at the pics until I get home (can't log into Gmail at work) but I'm sure she's beautiful!
