That would be a strike against, the biggest reason I didn't like Journey IS Steve Perry's voice. Not knocking him, it's just not pleasing to me.
Weird side note. My tattoo artist is Patty Kelley, who is the daughter of the guy who did all those Journey album covers in their heyday. She noted they have a similar use of color, which was interesting to her as it indicated a biological thing, since she did not know him until adulthood.
