Gurkha Immigration

BBC NEWS | UK | Gurkha-rights test case under way

"Gurkha-rights test case under way

Many former Gurkhas want to be able to stay in the UK
An immigration tribunal is taking place which could help decide whether 2,000 former Gurkha soldiers in the Army have the right to settle in the UK."

I think it's terrible, they should be allowed to come here IMO

I can't believe the way the Gurkha are treated like second class citizens in the army!

I thought this was all dealt with some time ago and they got their rights.

It's insane, give them permission already.

i heard a great story from a friend who trained with some gurkhas

the gurrkhas where hidding up tall trees

and for added realism when shot they would fall out of the trees

some 20 ft high

he said when they landed they just got up as if nothing had happend !!!

who trained with some gurkhas

at the finish of a mountain race in wales the first guy past was a gurkha. his sargeant cheered and congratulated him. The next 20 guys past the finish were gurkhas too - they got a howling at and made to do press ups. Thirty minutes later the rest of the runners started coming through
