Rep Power: 53 | | | Bad News for Wheel of Time Fans Author Robert Jordan dies - Yahoo! News
Very sad news - both because we lose a talented author,
And he hadn't quite finished the series yet!
Condolences to his family.

I loved those books, up till like the 34th one where it didn't end as of yet.
That is a shame though, he was a great author and it would have been nice to see those finished.
Condolences to his family dittoed

Rep Power: 153 | | | Wow, very sad. My condolences.
Wheel of Time was a series that I didn't pick up when it first started ... because at the time I didn't like waiting for the next book in any series to come out, so I decided I'd wait until the entire series was complete. Dumb, yes. I'm only just starting it.

Rep Power: 41 | | | Wow, I too read those many years ago. Like everyone else here I stopped about 4 or 5 in. Great books, but I started to get the feeling Jordan had written himself into a corner.
Too bad, very sad.

Rep Power: 53 | | Definitely good, but VERY big books. I don't know that he wrote himself into a corner like Haz said - BUT in the later books the story is MASSIVE with way too many characters. The first couple of books were very very good, and the rest are still good, just somewhat hard to follow without frequent reminders! The Wheel of Time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yay Wikipedia!

Rep Power: 53 | | A bit more from the link to the last book on the earlier entry: A Memory of Light - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As long as TOR gets the OK from RJordan's wife - they will probably get somebody to finish the book using his notes... Too much money they couldn't get if they didn't...

Rep Power: 41 | | | I stopped reading after Lord of Chaos, just too many characters, too many subplots, too much activity in books to try and follow them.
I have often considered restarting from scratch, but like SG I wanted to wait for the series to end and all the books to be in PAPERBACK.
Oh and I'd also need about 4-6 months of uninterrupted reading time.
Bottom line, great books require an equally great investment in time, something I could do in my youth, however now..no way.

Rep Power: 62 | | | Heard about this yesterday...Its certainly sad to hear the he is dead. An absolutely amazing author with what appeared tobe an interesting life as well.
Ive been reading the series pretty much since it came out in1990, when I was just a kid. I started getting tired of waiting for new books to come out and ended up quitting at Winters Heart (book 9). My wife started reading the series last year.
I hate to harangue the dead but, if he would have just skipped the prequel and finished book 12, we would have our complete series. Its no secret the series was supposed to be 12 books long, I knew that 15 years ago...Oh well, and fantastic author lost, and a series wasted...Life goes on. =) |

chuckle.. surely you've never seen a hazmat workout.. If you have time to talk, read, or catch your breath it's not a hazmat workout.
Rest between workouts not during.. as KC likes to say " You are crazy haz, you jam a 60 minute workout into 30 minutes." Yeah and if I'm really on pace I shoot for under that. Three Circuits, 3-4 exercises per circuit, 108 reps per circuit (3x3x12), like to shoot for 8 minutes or less per. So when you add in a minute or two to tear down and set up a new circuit you get a total of 30 minutes.
Intensity baby, it's all about intensity.
Wow, I went into way more detail than I anticipated.
