Rep Power: 100 | | | Right brain versus left brain
THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it. LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS- uses logic
- detail oriented
- facts rule
- words and language
- present and past
- math and science
- can comprehend
- knowing
- acknowledges
- order/pattern perception
- knows object name
- reality based
- forms strategies
- practical
- safe
RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS- uses feeling
- "big picture" oriented
- imagination rules
- symbols and images
- present and future
- philosophy & religion
- can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
- believes
- appreciates
- spatial perception
- knows object function
- fantasy based
- presents possibilities
- impetuous
- risk taking
I opened this animation in Image Ready and confirmed it contains 34 frames and does not change directions. |

Rep Power: 160 | | | watched it for a about 20 seconds and it changed direction 3 or 4 times. Started anti-clockwise though.
I've seen quite different right/left function splits in the past.
I'm waiting for the no brain answer...

Rep Power: 36 | | changing direction is simple don't look directly at it, visualize and then look
or what FF said

Indeed, there is a reason I'm called a brainiac
Seems like there is more to that image than meets the eye, it keeps switching every time I come back to this thread, looking at it doesn't change it though

Rep Power: 100 | | | Very strange. First it was going counter clock wise for me but it was different every time I looked at it.
Do you think only having one eye makes any difference?

Rep Power: 100 | | | I just noticed, she also switches legs. Going counter she is on her right leg, and clock-wise on her left.

Damn some of you guys are dumb. Here, I took some more frames out of the thing to make a shortened one rotation for you. I inverted the image in case the black figure with white lines is throwing some of you numskulls off. Here again are the silhouettes as blanks where your mind makes up whether or not it spins clockwise or counter clockwise. The chronology of the frames is reading left to right, top row first, then bottom row.
Here are lines filled in if you see her going clockwise. She'd be on her left leg and you're taller than she is looking DOWN at her:
And here if you see her going counter clockwise. She'd be on her right leg and you're sitting on the ground sort of looking UP at her:
