I already posted a thread about getting a dog from a shelter, she'd been abused and had ran away and was living on the streets till they caught her, she got pregnant some time while out there, we didn't find out till yesterday though.
So, being a breeder and getting her fixed, aren't really an option at that point, are they? |

The shelter didn't have that figured out? I though shelters always fixed dogs before adopting them out. Is it different in Britain?
I wish I could get a puppy, but I can't at this time in my life. Hopefully in a couple of years.........

They thought she was in season when she came in, but said they guessed not, that's when she would have been knocked up
And it's not uncommon for dogs to not show until later on in their pregnancy, when we first got her there wasn't any sign other than having enlarged nipples so everyone's guess was she'd had pups before, which she could have but we'll never know for sure and she didn't start getting bigger until she'd been with us for a week, so we had thought it was because she was now on a regular feeding plan and because she'd had some treats (I kinda spoiled her her first week ).
Wasn't until just a few days ago that we felt the pups kicking and she got way bigger, now the pups are running a marathon or playing rugby a majority of the time, which is really cool to feel
The vet said 5-10 days and 9-10 pups so she'll have a large litter and very soon |

Hope you don't have new carpeting in your place.
Can't wait to see the pics, even though they will make me want a puppy!

Rep Power: 220 | | We do, but we also have hardwood floors in the kitchen, so that's where we'll put the pups once it's all over, we bought a small kiddie pool for her to whelp in as it's easy to clean afterwards and is high enough to keep the pups in and low enough for her to get out and away from them when she needs a break
I'll post pics as soon as we have them |

Glad you seem so happy about all this, some people would have been upset to find they got a whole lot more than they bargained for in your situation.

Rep Power: 220 | | | Aye, as we figure it, we got 10 for the price of 1 so it's a good deal or not, but we're still excited about it and want her and them to be healthy/happy so we'll do everything we can to aid in the whole endeavor. |

They are all pure Staffie pups, we weren't sure before hand, but they have all the characteristics and appearances of Staffs |
