Rep Power: 100 | | | the next real scene question There are two guys with a knife, one on your right one on your left…your back is against the wall so you can’t turn around. They are equally apart from you on 45 degree angles. They are in the same stance.
You don’t know but you believe they are skilled, one thing you know they want to get you.
Question one--Do you wait for the attack or attack them
Question two--- if you attack which one do you go for fist do you attack the guy on your strong side or your weak side

Rep Power: 78 | | | I wait for them to move (no point in starting a knife fight when you are outnumbered).
If they both move together I would shift to my left (assuming that they are both right handed) so that I can (a) put the one on the left between me and the other guy, and (b) that puts me on the outside of the guy on the left and in a close control position with regard to his knife hand.
Then I would try to redirect the momentum of his forward movement to cause him to collide with the guy on the right... of course anything you do in a situation like that is a gamble anyway.
If only one of them moved first I would do the same as above, but go to the outside of which ever one moved first, and again try to redirect the momentum of his forward movement to cause him to collide with the other guy.
Assuming the evade and redirect worked in either instance, I would then leg it for the horizon! |

Rep Power: 6 | | | I move first, to the left, passing the knife hand of the assailant on my left between me and the other assailant. Then I flee. I run from a knife, charge a gun. There is absolutely no sense in sticking around to fight two people with weapons. |

Rep Power: 41 | | | Wait for them to charge - then move in, preferably low, if possible, rolling (depends totally on the situation and the dynamics of motion) - going for the legs of the guy on my "weak" side - the left.
Why the "weak" left Because, therein, I am seizing the initiative for my "weaker" side, and saving my "stronger" side for the guy on the right who will have more time to respond.
As I have said, I may rolle and take the legs out from the guy on the left - but that depends totally on the dynamics. Or i may step towards him and redirect him to my right - towards the other guy heading in from the right, while simultaneously doing some rather unpleasant stuff to him while he is being so "redirected".

Rep Power: 63 | | | Hmmm guess I'm backwards....i would go for the guy on my strong side first, right. If they're both right handed ...he has more room to swing on me with less restrictions. Plus with my strong side (most of my throws are done on someone in that position) I could take him out faster and with more control...directing him towards the other guy while I proceed to hall a**!

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm assuming that they're close enough to me that they're equal distance from each other and the wall, and I really don't have a clean escape route either way.
I would move first, I don't want to wait for them to get too close to me before I act. I'd bolt as quickly as I could, so that they can maybe cut me once and by that time I'm past them. If they were both right handed I would move to my right, if they were both left handed I'd move to my left. If right guy is left handed and left guy is right handed, I would move down the middle. If right guy is right handed and left guy is left handed I'd go either left or right, depending on the surroundings. Of course if the surroundings were such that one of the directions wasn't viable I'd go for the next best thing. I would have my arms out to cover my vitals - throat, torso, face, neck etc. Take the cuts to my arms (or if I'm lucky not get cut at all) and then I'd make my track and field coach proud. |

Rep Power: 29 | | | Well iŽd just give them my money and car keys!
Question 1 - When both are skilled, and they gain the initiative, I am done.
Question 2 - I move to my strong (right) side, I move faster this way, so get a few splitseconds more. Then do something cruel, take the knife and use the body in your arms as a shield...
Oh before I forget, IŽd take back my money and car keys then.

I'd hate to think I would'nt see something like this coming.
Gotta go for one of them first. If they move on you at the same time your dead. No way you can keep 4 hand from you at once.
Feint an attack, first one that moves in gets manuevered in line. Hopefully I am able to get my belt, backpack or shirt/jacket off before they get too close. Help to use as a buckler.

Rep Power: 127 | | | Don't know, knives are pretty nasty. Possibly make first move, don't really care what side. "Split" the attack and let the motion flow. First person should be just a "body" when he leaves my hand. But, the second person.... he's in for a long day.
Or, I'd just curl up in the fetal position and cry like a baby!!! Whahhhhhhh...........

Rep Power: 14 | | | Know you are going to sliced pretty good, you might have to take a knife into a hand... but when out numbered, in my opinion, always attack strong side first, get rid of as many threats as quickly as possible. But I agree, if I'm in this situation, I already messed up somewhere. I would gladly hand over my keys than risk that.

Rep Power: 100 | | | Too many variables. I also would see them coming from 100 miles away, and do what I can before running into them. So many things could be wrong, or right, if they fit the situation. Distance is important, if they are in distance to already stab, you have to get out before they react, or block it. I would expect to get stabbed if they are in stabbing distance, going at one of them, so, I would go at him doing the utmost brutal attack to kill him immediately or at least get him out of the way (getting stabbed in the back on my way out), or I die anyway. If they aren't, you could probably outrun them. In the streets, you see them coming a long way, and if living in problematic areas not carrying weapons yourself, you are a fool. I don't like such no way out scenarios, it's unpredictable what you can do. If I would face problems in my city with armed burglars, I WOULD, definetly, carry the two most sharp knifes you ever saw, if guns are impossible. In the US, I would also prepare for gunfights. It's only a situation you lose if you don't do what you could. I would use the gun, I would not miss, and, I only would worry how I can back out without going to jail. Two guys is something you need a martial MIND to get out, not arts. I would also consider to kill them right on the spot if I could, saving the next innocent guy they would run into with less martial education than I got.

And removing someone to potentially be put on the stand to testify against you.

Rep Power: 24 | | | Run. Like Migo, I'd rather take cuts to the arms than anywhere else. Which side depends, whichever guy is smaller, run him over and get cut as little as possible, then get out of there.
