Rep Power: 111 | | | My First Full Length Article
Earlier this year I began sending some writings to Inside Kung Fu Magazine with the hopes of getting it published. In March I got a " My Turn" 1-page article published on Forms (also published on this website). I was really excited and proud of that article.
At the beginning of this summer I also submitted a full-length article on Teaching (also published on this website) to them. Mr. Cater emailed me and said that he would have problems illustrating it, although he did like the article. I hadn't heard from him in many months now and I figured this was the nice way of declining the article.
Tonight, after I got home from work, I saw a November issue of IKF in the mail. I thought it was a bit early to be receiving it though. First thing I do always is thumb through and look at the pictures, but my fingers stopped on pg. 74. There is my article, " 5 Ways to Improve Your Teaching: By David Alcon".  
I've now joined the ranks of the elite published like KungfuKrissy!

Rep Power: 111 | | | Yeah, I send letters in now and again. A few issues ago they published one where I was trying to correct one of the articles having to do with "Power of Relaxation" in which the author (I think) confused his biomechanical equations.

I'm pretty proud of it. When my mom showed my little bro (he's 19) the article he was dumbfounded. His exact words were, after a 5 second pause of being stunned, "Those are a lot of words...you wrote all those words ...wow, you must be a total nerd to have time to write all of that!".
I laughed. Especially because he is just starting college...wait till he sees those 10-20 page papers.
