For those that don't know who this is, this is a Karate guy (and BJJ black belt) who has transitioned from what looks like a Karate Point-Sparring Champion to an undefeated MMA Fighter. Opinions about him vary, and he is the subject of some contraversy as many people do not find him very entertaining. I am of the mind that his fighting style is one you either love or you hate.
For DL members familiar with his style, what are your opinions?
I personally love the all out aggression of some fighters, but also love the technical prowess of Machida and his ability to control the fight. All of his fights usually go to decision, but he dishes out some nice hits over those 3 rounds while avoiding most all damage to himself.

Question Authority. Question Society. Question Reality. Question Yourself. Question your conclusions, your judgments, your answers. Question this. If you question everything thoroughly enough, the truth will eventually hit you upside the head and you will know. But here’s a warning: It won’t be what you imagined. It won’t be even close.
Cant argue with results he has wins over Tito, Sokoudju, Franklin and B.J. Penn. I like his style, he makes people look awkward because he's so evasive. Good standup, takedown defense, and ground game is why I dont see him losing anytime soon.
Like him. Read some net argument about the spelling/pronunciation of his name... "But he's Brazilian so it should be..." LOL he's Japanese..

This was a pretty cool video I stumbled on today. Check out the takedown sweeps at about 1:35. Those are nice.
Also funny is that right after posting that I read something Forrest Griffin said a few months ago about how he does not want to fight Machida any time soon. I don't know if its coincidence or not, but apparently fighters are starting to dodge this guy. I'm wondering if he will end up dominating the LHW division like his comrade down at MW.
