Rep Power: 47 | | | Females in MMA Okay, what is everyones thought on females in pro mma events such as UFC and others. Dana White has already said he does not think that the ring (octagon) is a place for women. Sounds kinda like Bill Wallace's view on women. I think that women should be able to compete in these type events. I've been reading a lot about this Feklice Herrig. She is totally hot but besides that she can fight for real. She went to Thailand to train. Maybe what attracted me to her is not only is she beautiful but she can kick ass too. To me that makes her super sexy. Anyways, whats everyone's oppinion on females in pro mma events?

That aside I believe if a woman wants to participate in MMA events then she has every right. However, ultimately fans decide what professional sporting events make it big. As skilled as women in the WNBA are, they don't draw the crowds like the men do and will have always have a harder time "breaking in".

I agree but I think if enough fans speak out and say "hey we want to see some female fighters as well", then maybe the UFC and other promotions will accomadate the fans request. Just 1 or 2 matches per event being female would be great.

Also, there would never likely be any heavyweight divisions. Heavyweight fights are generally the big money makers.
Maybe it would help if a woman started wearing a chain and howling......

Men are hunters and women are gatherers.

Oh please! Get with the current century!
Hardly any of us are either, most of us work in an office and spend a lot of that time doing some type of work typing into a computer.
