Smart lad.
All politics does is F up one's own practice.
I've never heard of Bak Fu Pai & don't really care, as long as they're not trying to bust into my school, kick my sign in half, and give us a new one that says "sick men of asia." Then I'd have to go old-school.

Rep Power: 1 | | | I've never been ashamed of being in Bak Fu Pai Family under Grandmaster Doo Wai, and Bak Fu Pai is not contraversial....the system has its own knowledge and we are doing our trainings without bothering any other system and we never intend to do so. I am happy with my trainings, and thats enough for me. I see some people are against Bak Fu Pai without even knowing enough about it, without even trying it...thats their opinion, I tried to put my opinion in my post.
As I said, we respect all systems and your opinions is yours only and my opinion is mine.
The reason I came to this forum is because I enjoy reading posts and thats why got registered. |

Rep Power: 1 | | | Bak Fu Pai is a family inherited system since 1600s, till late 1960s when Grandmaster Doo Wai (6th generation) decided to teach publicly...nothing particular, as you all have in your systems, forms, conditioning, chi gung sets, herbal knowledge.
Don't misunderstand me, if I am happy in the system, doesn't mean that I don't respect other systems |

Rep Power: 220 | | | Just curious, it's already been proven that BFP has stolen forms from other systems, claimed that they were a part of their system when the truth was that it was impossible due to locale/history/style differences.
How does that make it a true family inherited system, when they've stolen things from others, unless that's what the style is all about? |

Rep Power: 1 | | | It would be nice if you mention the "stolen" parts.
Don't say Bak Mei..because that will make me only sit back and laugh...we are not Bak Mei, even if the names are similar in the forms...and lets not forget Fung Do Duk and Bak Mei were classamtes.
Lets not insult both systems....Bak Mei and Bak Fu Pai....even if they seem similar, they are different.

Rep Power: 1 | | GH....I can not explain more.....as other systems...Bak Fu Pai has forms, weapons forms, conditionings, chi gung sets, herbal knowledge. Please don't ask me to explain details.
There are some clips uploaded by me and Icefist on youtube, if you're interested just do a search writing "Bak Fu Pai" in the search area and I hope these clips give you an idea about the system.
Wish you all nice weekend...its almost sunday morning here...have to get some sleep...good night

Certain of your long and short hand sets were taken from other systems without permission and then claimed to be solely yours and originally from your style, without credit being given to the true originators.
And uh, I have many years experience in martial arts and know the difference between Bak Mei and what isn't Bak Mei, so I will sit back and LMAO for your foolish assumption that I'm a noob to style differences
And GH, it is true that forms are borrowed and added to other styles all
the time, but most people who do that show credit where it is due, have permission to use them and don't create lies that they were always part of their system, but just weren't taught until now | |
