?????????????
You didn't go back and read carefully, did you? Look, I get it that you really, really want everyone to just be blown away by the fact that you know some Chinese, and that's great, but you're misreading this and the more you continue to do so the more disfunctionally self-absorbed you appear. If you go back and read the posts carefully I'm sure you will see what they were really talking about.
Also, and I don't mean this as in insult or disparagement of any kind, but how old are you?

I think people mis-understood what I was saying in my post. I was not meaning that "wo ai ni" means I love asian women. I was just stating that I love asain women. I like flirting with them by speaking thier language therefore I try to learn as much Chinese as I can. It impresses them that a Caucasian American can actually speak Chinese or at least attempt to speak it.......LOL.

Rep Power: 47 | | | Li......I love the Chinese culture. I try to learn as much about it as I can. My teachers teacher is Chinese. He escaped mainland China with 8 others many years ago (1960's) and came over here. Only 4 or 5 survived and lived. Anyways, I learned a lot from him and my Sifu about Chinese culture and tradition. My Sifu lived in China for about 8 or 9 years. I had the chance to go to China with my Sifu to train or go to Italy with my parents for vacation back in 1992 and I chose Italy. I wish I had gone to China. My Sifu and 6 other classmates of mine went to China and trained with the Bejing Wu Shu Team in Bejing then they went to Quanjo(sp?). I know I massacred the spelling of that city.....LOL.

Rep Power: 47 | | | I have found that most traditional Chinese families don't approve of thier daughters dating Caucasion Americans. They prefer to keep to thier own race. But knowing as much about their culture and language does help a bit. Whats your opinion on this?

Rep Power: 3 | | | Jade D., That's o.k.,..as I've said before, I HATE Pin-Yin phonetics!,...lol'.(most of the time they don't make American-phonetic sense!) So, just spell it as you say it,...lol'! Wow,..I bet Italy was cool too though!!? I've never been to China yet either,..I had a few chances,... Dr. Huang in Youngstown keeps after me to go and teach English/slang there,(what a joke,...lol),...and I had a chance in 1997-98-99 to go with my Si-Fu, Nick Gracenin,...but I couldn't because of my teaching and work schedule. They also got to train with the Bei-Jing, Shang-Hai & Guang-Zhou Wu-Shu teams. bummer',...lol'. Maybe one of these days. |

Rep Power: 3 | | | oh',...lol' Well, I married a white-girl,(Irish-American),...lol, with no internal family problems! But, of-course', some families are very strict and old-fashioned when it comes to mix-culture dating or marriage. My opinion,(probably NOT pollitically correct,..lol' so, don't attack, whoever reads this),..is find a nice Chinese-American girl who has parents that aren't so up-tight,...lol'. They DO exist,..lol'. P.S., I make NO claims of being a match-maker or self-indulgent Cupid,...lol'! |
