i use to do missions on a hotel across the street from me. read up on the availble literature in the art of sneaking about. somewhat useful. while renovation was taking place, the workers would stay their lonely nights there, in half dessicated rooms torn asunder by their own hands. i would creep close as my stealth would let me.
so yeah, im a ninja. being a ninja is all the head my freind.northern kung fu helps...

Rep Power: 4 | | | I think Sun tzu would have,(even though the question is not meant for me)but he seems above this for some time. Can the mindset of a ninja be extrapolated to statecraft and war?And if it does, does it still remain the same?Even though Sun tzu would have made a better ninja I feel Musashi,Machiavelli and embody the spirit better.(esp machiavelli with his rightwing attitude and fox-lion analogies)So much for intellectual masturbation as you put it.

LOL. Intelectual masturbation - been quite a while since I used that phrase.
Can the mindset be extrapolated to statecraft and war ? Lemme quote Clauzwitz on that who said that "War is an extension of policy by other means". Period.
Now, coming back to em ninjas.. remember there were those "lowly" feild agents, and there were also the heads of the clans and the go-in-betweens... so which of those three qualified as "ninja" ? The heads of the clan did not mix it up with samurais or others etc. But that did not make em less of a ninja, did it ? So, what was the common thread running through all three that made em ninja ? The awareness and the choice to use the path of least resistence to prevail at all costs, more often than not by "way of deception"... which spells "MINDSET"! So yes, Machiavelli and Sun Tzu did have that mindset. As a matter of fact, Sun Tzu's book actually influenced the ninja's way of thinking in no small measure.

Rep Power: 4 | | | Thus, all politicians(atleast in this part of the world, and at the most, everywhere) are ninjas. They who are in power have mastered the manner in which to stay comfortably in(the path of least resistance,in this case, inaction).Deception is their nature and they appear amongst us as and when and how they choose to.Thus, there is a hidden ninja in everything and everyone. The tiny rascal who sneaks upto the cookie jar, placing it on a padded surface to avoid awakening mom too,is a ninja. He has deception, intent and a mindset. So ninja slayers everywhere, despair. For your paranoia was not one at all....... Rep Power: 49 | | There are three main branches of ninjutsu. You have the Bujinkan Dojo, the Genbukan Dojo, and there is one other but I can't think of the name. The Bujinkan Dojo is the biggest and most well known. There are 100's of schools around the world that are members of the Bujinkan Dojo that teaches ninjutsu. The head of it is Dr. Masaki Hatsumi (34 generation Grandmaster). He is the real deal. He trained several well know ninja people such as Steven K. Hayes, Robert Von Donk, and Robert Bussey. Dr. Hatsumi is also the last living descendant of a clan/line of ancient ninja's. Which is extremely important knowledge, in order to call him the 'real deal'.
I didn't know he trained Hayes, though. That's pretty cool, Hayes is quite skilled.
