HUI Kung fu... also known as Moslem Kung fu of China!

i remember once reading an article in black belt magazine about it. it was the unarmed combat of Hui people, the largest ethnic chinese muslims. I dont kow how in technique it is different than shaolin but its spiritual roots are Islamic rather instead of budhist.

Im pretty sure tan tui is a system that was originally moslem but is also taught as shaolin. I would assume that like shaolin there would be a great diversity in style throughout the different hui systems (as long as the hui live throughout china that is). Anyway tan tui is a long fist system.

Can't find info on the hui system, only moslem style I know of is Tan Tui, which is used in my system.

yes i practice long fist and i am sure that tan tui is a islamic system. Tan tui is a very simple to learn northern system.
I think you should research it and other long fist systems.
However i have to say that long fist is a style that has been somewhat corrupted into a demonstration based style. It is important to know that long fist was infact originally created for combat and not demonstrations!
