Rep Power: 63 | | Yeah great clip. That guy definitely had skills...especially for his age.
If you watch closely...you can tell the ukes are "giving" him the throws sometimes....(making it a bit too easy) but on most he really whips the hell outta them.
Especially on the parts where they were trying to throw him....his counters are great....as is his timing. Great clip!

Rep Power: 53 | | | I loved watching the bigger younger guys pick him up but he hangs on and lands, immediately tossing the guy quite easily! Pretty cool!

yup...
there's always the "respect for your sensei/ sifu/ instructor" factor with these kinda demo's that makes the students fall a little too fast, too easy etc.
but it really shows the old man's skills...

Rep Power: 30 | | | It is said that when Mifune sensei fought people in randori (Free practice) he pulled the techniques off to perfection like he was doing Kata.
Mifune was awesome. If you were learning under the best guy in the world at judo, you wouldnt want to hurt him now, would you? This is probably why his students are being nice to him. He is old, but still capable of teaching. You hurt him, and he can no longer teach for a long time. You lose out for the sake of one throw? ;p |

Rep Power: 63 | | | Yeah. When he was doing the throws it was obvious there was no resistance....However...when they were attempting to throw him...they were really trying and he was easily countering them and then throwing them...@ that point....they weren't "giving" it to him.
