sometimes I see very strange ideas about karate on this forum
the karate I know is not about screaming and jumping
it's about hitting hard
really, really hard
and endure
so I present you:
Kyokushin

I agree
it's weird, they don't use blocks like they learn and of course because you cannot get hit in the head they don't even pay attention to that with their blocking...

From the wiki:
"In the earliest kyokushin tournaments and training sessions bare knuckle strikes to the face were allowed, but resulted in many injuries, and thus, students who were forced to withdraw from training. Mas Oyama believed that wearing protective gloves would detract from the realism that the style emphasizes. Therefore, it was decided that hand and elbow strikes to the head and neck would no longer be allowed in training and competition. Also, many governments don't allow bare knuckle strikes to the head in sanctioned martial arts competitions, providing further reason."

Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed the vid!
But I cant help but think from that performance that it reminds me of rock em sock em robots. They had great attributes but it didnt seem like they understood the space around them and how to use it to their advantage.
It looked alot like one dimensional fighting.
But I still enjoyed the vid.
