Knot

I've had this knot in the side of my back for about 2 weeks and i was wondering how do i get rid of it.......and could you explain how to prevent getting knots and how are they formed.......thnx

Go to a doctor first if i where you.
Provided they tell you its only muscular and can be treated without to much hassle then i would next look towards professional massage.
Massage is a funny thing, there are MANY who can do it resonably well for relaxation but few who can genuinly fix things with it.
I would look more towards the chinese massage and try for an authentic chinese doctor not simply a someone with a certificate from the local training centre.
As an example
My sifu does Chinese massage and people are often supprised when he is finished after only 10-15 minutes. What they often dont acknowledge is that he is simply fixing and changing your bodys muscles he is NOT simply rubbing you down. Hence its just done when its done.
It sounds to me like putting in to much tension into your back during a particular movment. Without seeing you move first hand on knowing where exactly this knot is its kind of hard but still i would say try to do more back streches before practice and when you punch make sure your breating is not laboured or forced. I think your are proberly tencing your kidneys when you strike which is a commen mistake. However doing it repeably over time can cause effects like this.

Still first and foremost see a doctor, no one on this forum can replace a proper medical practioner who can actualy LOOK at you first hand and judge properly.

hey thx and maybe i will see a doctor....i had a knot in my right side about 5 weeks ago and it went away and now i have it in my left side.....maybe it was something i did to get rid of it....i didnt see a doctor...i was also wondering how do you get them.....thx
