Rep Power: 4 | | Professional Wrestling? Hey, what do you think about professional wrestling? My brother and friends are big into it. I don't mind it, but I'd rather watch other stuff instead. |

Rep Power: 111 | | Being a fan of Pro-Wrestling and a former Wrestler on the Indie circuit, I feel the need to give you all big chops across the chest for such talk!
However, American Pro-Wrestling has totally gone off the deep end. I was always a fan of the Japanese style which favored technique over everything else. So that is what I tried to emulate, however you are only as good as your opponent(s).
I don't much care for the modern stuff. But when you watch the Luche Libres or Japanese Wrestlers, and some of the guys on the Indie circuit, then you have to give credit where credit is due. You are watching an awesome display of technique and athleticism...but don't confuse it with actual fighting. However, as I said before, the Japanese typically take real moves and employ them in variations...so you get a more realistic demonstration in that venue.
However, to this comment: | “ | so UFC is like WWF or whatever, but with people really getting hurt! | ” | |
You are so wrong FF! I would argue that MORE people getting hurt in the WWE. Those guys have a ****ty life. They are on the road performing most nights of the week and there are no off seasons. That is why virtually no wrestler retires healthy. The ring taxes your body very heavily.

Rep Power: 49 | | | I agree with Wraith. As a manager for a professional wrestler for many years and having wrestled a total of 5 professional wrestling matches I can say that wrerstlers put thier bodies through hell on a nightly basis. There is no off season like Wraith said. Its every night. If a wrestler is lucky he might be home one or two nights out of the week, if he's lucky.

This was the wrestler I managed. His name is Crusher Bones (Scott Turner). He wrestled in WWE back in early 90's then hit the indie circuit where I managed him. United States Wrestling Federation

Wraith is correct. There are more and worse injuries in pro wrestling.
I am not a fan of pro wrestling but I do respect the athleticism of many of them.

Rep Power: 111 | | | Fans seem to be polarized about Brock...and I think most dislike him because of his payout for that fight. But I think for the dude's 2nd MMA match, he was a threat to a former Champion. But Brock had a lot of actual Wrestling experience to draw on. Frank's face in the post fight did not look too good lol.

Frank's face never looks too good. All that fighting has misshapen the poor guy, methinks. Luckily for me, I was ugly to begin with, so any amount of fighting can only improve my mug!
