That's it exactly. Posting vid's is cool, but it is being reinterpreted now as a "hey let's all post vid's thread, when the context was originally "here is how you prove your school is doing what I think it should be doing."

This all started with a quote from me from another thread in a context where I was responding to this constantly being touted that we had to anwer to Cam's satisfaction or were told we were "avoiding the issue" etc. Go back and look at that thread and you will see.

To not understand the context is to not understand what I was responding to.

I have nothing to prove with regards to admitting where my sparring is at, since I readily admit my sparring is not good yet. So, how could I be scared of being shown to not back up my claims? I am scared to prove I am not good at sparring?

And if you for a minute think I am going to go up to the good sparrers at my school and ask to make a tape because I have a need to show some guy on the Internet, well- that's just silly.

Yet if you go to an auto enthusiast forum you see all kinds of vids people post of their cars doing all sorts of things. People are proud of their cars on those forums. Seems here people are quick to post vids of others but never want to post vids of themselves... why?

Where is this stuff coming from? Who said something was better than anything else? Where is that posted? Where did anyone ask for proof of anything? Where did anyone ask someone to prove something?
This reaction is that automatic defensive posture taken when one perveives something as threatening. It's very psychologically revealing of the mindset that some people here have.

You will need a converter, a digital bridge. The one I use is a Dazzle Hollywood bridge. I have had it a few years and it works great for me.

No, the quote from the other thread wasn't a response to anything, much less something I had said or done. It was just a random comment that was posted by you in reply to Sammy about something else entirely. You just threw that part about "Some people here think........" into the paragraph to make yourself feel better about somethinjg or other. The fact is you made the quote to try and prove something... that no one knows what's going on at your school because we haven't been there or met people or whatever. So I got to thinking, that applies to everyone here so why not post vids so we can all experience what everyone does without having to travel all over th eworld and visit different schools. You saw the thread, opened it up and read it. It would have been so easy just to think to yourself, "Nope. I'm not going to post a video", and then closed the window... But that's not what happened... Instead, you felt threatened for some reason and felt the need to make excuses. And you're still doing it. Again, we all get it. We know you aren't going to post a video. You can make 40 more posts telling us all how you aren't going to post a video.

Anyway, I am going to film some stuff at training tonight and I will start a new thread for videos. We can keep this thread going for all the quibbling and excuses for those that aren't going to post a video and for people to talk about all sorts of things like why it is dishonorable to film certain things.

OK, OK...I dont think Cam actually asked people to post "beat-down" vids. He asked people to put there money where there mouth is. MOST ma schools have sparring or free fight sessions, unless you practice Senior Citizen's Tai Chi in the park. At the same time, I am sure Cam wouldnt mind seeing that vid...if that's what you do. Maybe you are the best damn 70+ year old in the friggin park at Tai Chi. Who the eff knows? I would be happy to post some of my vids. They dont have a fancy soundtrack or good editing, and to be frank, they dont look as good technically as Cam's or Wraith's but who gives a rat's ass. When I figure out how to do I will do it, b/c I wanna share with the community. AND I dont feel threatened by what Cam posted, and I dont take it as a challenge or him looking for a chance to judge. Anyone on here can say what they want about anything I post, vid or words..the fact is, if it is an insult, I will let it roll off my back. I wont lose any sleep over what some faceless entity miles and miles away typed on his/her keyboard. If they like what they see, good. If they dont, I will still sleep soundly tonight.
