I'm always surprised by how similar it is to a lot of our CLF movements.

When I go back home to Shenyang maybe I will make a trip to Tianjing just to learn some Baji. It's pretty cheap for lessons in Western standards, and of course I speak Chinese (I don't normally speak with such a heavy Northern accent but I can if I want) so it will be easy to understand.

A lot of the techniques look like compacted CLF techniques, or maybe I should say Hung Kuen actually.

His stuff is definitely a good mixture of Pigua and Baji, but yeah...from what I have done of Baji there is a lot of emphasis on short power generated by the hips and torso.

There also seems to be heavy emphasis on upsetting the opponent's center of balance and uprooting them, then throwing/hitting/whatever.
