The last couple seminar I went to (about a year ago) were three seminars by three different people spread out over 3 days (weekend). Each seminar was $50 (for about 2 hours each) or $130 for all three seminars. For longer seminars such as all day or two day seminars taught by only one person, they ussualy are about $125 and up depending on who is teaching the seminar & what is being covered. Thats what it costs in my part of the country.

Usually if you are hosting a seminar by someone that has to travel to your school to do the seminar the host puts the teacher up at a hotel & pays for the meals, etc....

Most schools here give discounts for members. They also sometimes give discounts if you book in advance as opposed to paying on the day.

I am going to be attending a JKD Concepts workshop later this month, which is going to cost me around $40 for 4 hours as a non-member. Pretty reasonable.

Yeah that sounds pretty reasonable. Where is this going tobe held?

By the way, in October there is going to be a MMA show in the Nashville TN area. Its being put on by Sijo Rusty Gray who owns a school down there. He is going to try doing this on a reg basis. The state of Tennessee just past the law allowing MMA events. He still needs fighters for the show. If interested PM me.

I haven't learnt from him before, but he has quite a reputation around these parts. He teaches all sorts of stuff from Security Training, to MMA, to Taijiquan. One of the people he learnt Taijiquan from is my Taiji Sigung, Eddie Jardine. I believe this workshop will focus on street crime related scenarios.

I am 99.999999% sure I will go. If I do, I will write back here somewhere.
