Rep Power: 0 | | | HI! I've earned a black belt in my jhong law horn kung fu in bradenton, Fl. it's a somewhat interesting style. it originates from the long fist style of shaolin and the very confusing style of mi zong (mandarin pronounciation). i've trained with several big names of kung fu like master marr and grandmaster johnny lee. it's neat because it has big punches and big kicks. it works good for the little guys like myself. it's really low to the ground most of the time except for kicking which varies from shin snaps to head kicks and cyclonic kicks. it's in it's self a complete style, i know thats hard to believe. but theres been a long history of intense work on the style. our si gong is named master yp or yeh depending on where you're from. i'm glad it's remained so traditional over the years. our si gong made it famous by teaching at the jing wu association and by guarding caravans for a living. grandmaster johnny lee won several life or death roof top matches in china when they outlawed kung fu. he's quite the badass for being so funny! lol. |

Rep Power: 153 | | | Hi and welcome, how about also posting your introduction above in a new thread in the Newcomers Forum?
Thanks from a mod.
(I remember talking to Grandmaster Lee about those rooftop matches, although "life or death" was really more about "don't fall off the roof.")

Rep Power: 4 | | | I'm a practitioner of Ying Jow Pai (Northern Eagle Claw). I've been training with Master Ernest Rothrock's son.
My biggest tip is make a schedule in your day to practice. It benefits immensely not only from getting some activity in your life, but also working on sketchy parts of your form. |

Rep Power: 29 | | | With these life or death matches... how many people did your grandmaster kill? I'm quite sure that both guys went at it, one guy got bludgeoned pretty badly, or maybe both, and the match ended after one guy couldn't get back up.
