Rep Power: 29 | | | Yip Man video, 2nd form I did not know where to post this one, I thought about posting it in the internal section - very interesting, i never knew there were videos of Yip Man out there. Looks very different from some WT/WC i have seen yet... very - internal. (requires quicktime) http://users.tpg.com.au/adsl535t/tien/gmym-ck.mpg

Rep Power: 27 | | IMO, this Chum Kiu isn't very different from other people that I have seen who were Yip Man's students. It's nice to see old footage like this because you can see how things have either stayed the same or changed.
My question to you though would be, what is in the form that struck you as being internal

Rep Power: 100 | | | That's the form as we do it, though perhaps a little slower.
Cool clip though, thanks Thomas! |

Rep Power: 29 | | | I found this on a german martial arts board.
I thought you could consider it as internal, because the power issuing and the naturalness of his moves is more akin to internal branches than to hard gongfu. Just my first impression.
One has to consider that the tape obviously runs about 15-20% faster than "natural" speed. I have seen some WT form that was much more tense, less springy and the sliding steps were - well "steps".
I am by no means qualified to judge any WT/WC I see, but I really like Yip Mans way of doing it!

Rep Power: 100 | | I meant that the clip looks a little slower and less dynamic than the way we train it. I haven't got a clip of Chum Ki, but I have got one of SLT if you want to compare: - http://ukwingchun.com/Wing_Chun_Kung_Fu_Video.htm#sui |

Besides, all the other clips are excellent too... your organization has a cool website!

I had the same problem, then I right clicked the link and selected 'saved linked file as...' then it downloaded the whole thing to my hard drive and I could play it from there. Could be your quicktime plugin for your browser has the problem
Hope it helps!

Rep Power: 24 | | | Yup, it worked, thanks.
That's the same we do, as far as I was able to see it, I haven't learned Chum Ki yet. And just like FF said, we do it faster, more dynamically, but I think the power generation is the same.
