Rep Power: 48 | | | Hey Chief, how did your finger heal after you almost cut it off with a cheese knife???
Let's see...worst injury in class would be a tie between a broken rib and a broken knuckle. At least those ones healed. My shoulder may never heal. Having said that, I located a new wellness centre today and was given some good info and some new hope. Let's give it a try.

Rep Power: 8 | | | I was a victim of a 'scooping fist' a while back, due to kicking above the waist. Hyper-extended the ol' knee, took me out for a year and longer. Now I'm Mr Low Kicks man. That also takes me out of more traditional KF tournaments than I care to say and only really puts me in sport MMA and pankration tourneys.

Rep Power: 10 | | | took a really hard kidney punch sparring a 'friend'-y'know the type-when you start to get in on them, they up the intensity and before you know it, you're really fighting. Well. I knew it was a hard shot, but I thought I wouyld be ok. When I got home, I went to pee, and I peed blood, not rusty, tinged urine, but straight blood. That, my friends, is the scaryest sight for a guy.
I was rushed to the hospital, and had to stay for four days, drinking massive amounts of water, IV units, tubes, all sorts of cool stuff. Doctor said I almost lost it.
another time, I was eye gouged in a tournament-finished the fight, wasn't as lucky as the other poster-I lost. oh well. Went to hospital, lacerated cornia, had to wear an eye patch for a week. Doctor also said I was lucky, and could've lost it, but eyes are very resilient. My boss, however said if I ever let my 'hobby' get in the way of work, I'm fired.
Just recently-about 5 months ago, while sparring a six-foot,four three hundred and fifty lb 8th dan, I blocked his punch, but his body kept moving, like a freight train, and my pinky and ring fingers slammed into his chest-snapped all the way back. I quickly grabbed them, and popped them back into place, but it was too late. The damage had been done. The bones aren't broken, but the tendons, and ligaments are damaged. I can just now make a fist, with some work. It won't be completely healed by summer. The good news is I can play guitar again.
Over the years, I've had assorted rib fractures, busted fingers, knuckles, toes, torn ligaments, sprains, strains, tears, etc.
I probably would've been better off not taking Martial Arts, and just getting my ass kicked. You really don't get into that many fights in normal life. |

Rep Power: 4 | | | The worst (or best) one didn't happen to me, but it's worth mention:
At the local college, about a half dozen of the students went to school there, including the senior student. We got into the habit of sneaking up on each other and going at it on campus. We don't go easy, either.
One of the guys that was at the same level of me was the best target for us, because he was so oblivious until we were on top of him. But he's good, real good. The sihing thought it would be funny to jump off an elevated planter and nail him midair unknowingly, but he had an unexpected shot...
John noticed him there last second and kicked his nuts midair. On campus. In front of probably 100 or so people. I REALLY wish I witnessed that.

Rep Power: 41 | | | The Haz-Toe is in bad shape..
I was going for a hip sweep against my rival last week. Big toe slipped, I finished the sweep and took mount, but my big toe elected to stay on the mat!
Bottom line, the Haz-Toe is on "might be broken watch" by Mrs. Hazmat and might put me on injury reserve and out of my first Submission Grappling tournament.
I have consulted Plummy though, so there's hope.
