Rep Power: 11 | | | Worst Kung Fu Related Injury? What's the worst injury you've ever got in kung fu I haven't really been hrt yet, but I'm still new and haven't done hard core stuff yet. I did manage to bruise the palm of my hand the other day. It wasn't so much "bad" as "unusual". I guess my worst is when I sprained my wrist holding the pad for someone that was doing a round house kick. Not very exciting, I know . |

Rep Power: 11 | | Awh man, I feel like such a newbie now *lol*. But I guess if I think about it, I haven't really had too many accidents in my life. I broke my nose once as a small child (stood too close behind someone playing stick ball bat, DER! ) and had a nasty fall from a horse when I was a teenager. The only stitches I have had was when I got my wisdom teeth out.
I wonder what the average level of "worst injury" is if you polled all martial artists... |

Rep Power: 111 | | | In Judo I was doing mat-work with a German student who was visiting the teacher. He almost broke my neck. My chin got planted in the mats and he was rolling over me so that he was bending my body back over my head. Due to the mat I couldn't turn my head and roll through. Next thing I know there is a sound like bubble-pop and I swear I felt the back of my head touch between my shoulder blades. The guy jumped off me and I just laid there. Fortunately nothing was severely damaged, but my neck still hurts when I tilt it back.

Rep Power: 100 | | | During a match once a guy accidentally (I think) jammed his thumb all the way into the back of my eye socket. The nail tore the (I forget what you call it) part of the eye and the inside of the socket.
I looked pretty cool with blood and eye-junk streaming down my face.
I won the match too! (after a little improvised first aid) |

Rep Power: 0 | | | worst injury That would be five slipped disks, muscle, tendon and ligament ripped right of the scapula (Shoulder blade). All happened at once. It was a humdinger! Tai Chi push hands is no joke! |

Rep Power: 153 | | | Who cares? Good thread. I love reading about injuries somebody else has got. Rather than telling about mine.
