Oh, and I usually do it in my bedroom with the lights low or out. its the only place I can get where I can lock the door and noonne can intrude. Even outside the neighbors or other people would be around.
I love New york, but it's hard to find solitude sometimes.

Rep Power: 6 | | | I pray in church and out. I don't really meditate. There are times when I'm training that I am in a heightened sense of awareness. I guess that could be considered meditation. Basically, just aware of my surroundings: noises, shadows, movement of anykind and also internally, my breathing, heartbeat, what muscles to relax, etc. All of this usually during stance training. To answer the initial question about where I 'meditate' - I guess just wherever I am training. Good thread. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I meditate in a place where there is no one near me... I always hate it when
people go to me and say: "Hey! Look at that guy!... Ommmng... Ha ha!"
That just pisses me off...
I like forests , that is the best place... Or even better the mountains!
Now mostly in my yard or inside my house! |

Rep Power: 0 | | cool guys Thanks for great replies and quotes.
V interesting to hear where you train and meditate.
The times that you meditate seem to be important too? I guess it is linked to TCM theory.
I have been reading up on old school masters in china, and they seem to train first thing in the morning.
I always get a good result from training around 7pm. You can sense something different in the air? Similar to first thing in the morning as well. Any ideas why? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | i'm sure you'll think i'm loco but i have had birds landing on me, squirrells playing around my feet and even a fox came and sat near me whilst holding standing postures and meditating. another wierd thing that happened once........ i was practicing very slowly with alot of intent when a dog came flying at me barking like mad, i simply looked at its eyes and it ran off crying as if it had seen a ghost. i usually practice in a secluded park, rain, sun or snow. i think animals can see the energy or aura which people most often can't. |

Rep Power: 4 | | | Four mornings out of the week I practice Chi Kung in a Florida room in my home. Although I would have to say that my ideal spot is on the beach away from everyone. Those have been my deepest experiences.
