Induced Chi Flow

Greetings, everyone!

Although chi kung has always been a part of my kung fu training, I'm excited to say that I had my first very personal experience today with induced chi flow.

After following Sifu Wong Kiew Kit's instructions as described in "The Art of Chi Kung", I found myself swaying quite involuntarily - although not too vigorously - as I visualized chi flowing through my body. Initially, the movement was barely noticeable, but grew in intensity as I allowed myself to gently follow the movement. I could actually feel something physically coursing through me. The swaying seemed to primarily occur from/within the upper torso (I think I was more or less able to will it to do so). Indeed, while the overall induced chi flow experience was very pleasant and enjoyable, I noticed that my feet had fallen asleep where I stood. I'm now wondering if having willed the motion away from my legs/knees had anything to do with that, or the fact that I was wearing shoes. I also estimate that I was standing in the same spot for nearly 25 minutes. Aside from that detail, I felt incredibly peaceful and content when I was finished.

Has anyone else on the DL experienced this?

Somewhat, in doing various excersizes or meditations, I have often felt much the same thing,a feeling of peace, ease, relaxation, goodness, energy, health.
Though with the legs falling asleep, that can be due to a blockage, or the meridians are not open enough for a greater level of chi flow, all depends...

I've felt the same things you're describing. My feet would fall asleep too. I haven't done my Chi Kung at home for a while now though. The other day in class I got a little electric shock right below the knees that made my body jump a little. A guy in class told me it was a blockage opening..
