Rep Power: 13 | | Whats your favourite form of Qigong and why? There are many different styles of Qigong such as the 5 animals play and the 8 pieces of brocade. What is your favourite form of Qigong and, moreover, why do your favour that form?

Rep Power: 220 | | | Honan Shaolin Ba Duan Jin: I think it is an excellent exercise for the improvement of health, circulation of Qi, and to loosen the body and help one to focus/meditate/relax.
Honan Shaolin Yi Jin Jing: Same as previous, except it also strengthens the whole body, opens meridians and clears them to a higher degree.
Iron Qi Gong: Because it is highly effective and useful if learned and performed properly.

Rep Power: 13 | | | Favorite Qigong I think maybe standing, though I practice Yi jin jing every morning too. I think I like these two most of the few systems I know (dragongate, silk reeling). My standing is Taiji's zuan zhuang and also Xingyi's San ti... (20 minutes each). I have also learnt a white crane standing practice which I think is meant to be an iron palm...

Rep Power: 0 | | | 24 exercise Taiji Ruler...although I confess to rarely doing more than the core 8 exercises.
This is the key to the essence of my style. I generally hold the ball for 10-20 minutes, and then do Taiji Ruler.
I also hold standard Shaolin postures, occasionally Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing and Xi Xue Jing from time to time. |

The Lohan Gong also known as Sap Baat Dim-
Is a major Qigong set of Northern Tong Long. This set was originally a Siu Lam set but was incorporated by Lo Guan Yu and is still taught at Ching Wu Man also 7 Star practitioners such as the Lee Kam Wing branch as well as the Wong Han Fun branch still practise this set.
The movements are generally taught with 2 to 3 external movements along with a San Gong set to release the energy build up this is per section.
There are 18 sections and this form should take around an hour to perform.
This set is similar to the Yi Jin Jing form taught at Song Shan.
It is a combination of external and internal movements the Wai Gong is performed at a slower speed similar to how some Taiji practitioners will practise.
and the San Gong movement is generally a static position just for releasing energy thats build up that may cause stagnation.
The important factors in the practise of this form is relaxation, concentration and controlled movements some of the movements may be strenuos but should be performed at a relaxing pace.
hope this helps.

I would be very interested in that
I could exchange some information on some of our Internal Lohan sets in exchange, unfortunately I do not have any pictures of such, but I could give a description of them.

I'll send you the book either tomorrow or the next day. (its in traditional Chinese but the pictures of the diagrams are pretty clear)
If you want to try to practise I can give you step by step ways to perform each set.
