Rep Power: 100 | | | lunar mansions does anyone study the lunar mansions and their effects as applied to martial arts, or for calculations of conditional aspects such as in types of dim mak or chin-na applications

Rep Power: 12 | | | Don't study it. Have heard of it in relation to dim mak and to a lesser degree qin na (Although the argument could be made that dim mak is an advanced qin na concept anyway - which I tend to agree with). My first exposure to this concept was in relation to making the golden pill in the dragon/tiger classic. Or am I confusing this with something else Qi cycles in the body, right As related to the cycles of the moon I'd be curious to hear more on this as well.

Rep Power: 100 | | | yes your right the 13 degree per day changes wtc... I am looking for some info from the vedic version but I think the chinese use the same calculations- but the moon blood relationship is basic I amlooking for more deeper applications...if someone understands the advanced formulas I have a lot of questions

Rep Power: 63 | | | Well....there is always lots of basic info about this is TCM books. But I think the questions you have Aqira are probably gonna require someone who's actually trained in it...LOL. Unfortunately....I cant think of anyone offhand.
Maybe RobT or Nev.

The body is a part of and a representation of the cosmic universe and its components; each has an effect on the other.
So chi in cycles is effected by cosmic positions and influences There are formulas to determine what and when these effects are when and where they occur in the body.
Taijisd was right at a certain level in that more advanced dim mak studies this

I am not familiar but am interested. Sounds very similar to lunar gravitational effect on water. Is this correct

Rep Power: 100 | | | I think that is one thing, though its on a larger scale...but like the moon effect on water, the same would then be for the blood, and as a carrier of energy it would have some effect.
The moon may have an effect on personality. It does have an effect on the brain.
The concept is that all universal objects have an effect. The sun is common as is the time of day, but the charts on lunar effects are rare.
I understand there are formulas that can predict certain conditions like the rise or fall of yang. In the deeper aspects there are connections with certain vital organs and the chi phases and that is the part I am interested in.
My own interest is to explore the formulas to see how effective and fast they are, but I suppose you would have to know something about how to do this in order to see if it works so it might be useless to someone with little knowledge.
I can see that their might be health benefits as well as in TCM the cycles are a major factor.
Trouble is it can be hard to find a student willing to be the test subject
