have to agree with this one...
it seems like you've never been in any real fight Happeh...
with adrenaline rushing through your body and all things like this are "normal"
I can also see your point tho, but in that case it comes down to your definition of "chi"
by any change, did ya ever buy some tapes from Guy Savelli??
some of your stuff sounds a little like his ideas on chi

It is a mind game to convince people to disregard what is said. Scientology is a known buzzword to evoke images of a "crackpot" organization or belief. Using the buzzword makes the reader immediately identify what the writer has in mind.
When people make snap decisions, the brain turns off. Once the person says "Scientology, I know what that is, goof offs", they stop thinking and reading and making their own decisions about what the see.

He has admitted as much. But it doesn't stop him from 'theorizing' away in great bliss. |

I don't recall anyone suggesting that there is no such thing as chi. By the way, who won ?..............that was a mean A** kick the japanese guy got in. | ” | |
In my opinion, what has happened is that the mens energy has become intangled, hence the reference to the video title. I think that because of the exhaustion of the fight, or the time spent in the ring, or for whatever reason, the mens energy becomes entangled with each other.
To me, it looks like the Japanese man is captivated by the Brazilian man. My belief is fortified when I see the Brasilian man caress the Japanese man's head. The Brazilian man recognizes the adoring attitude of the Japanese man and he is responding to it.
Have you ever watched video of a voodoo ceremony? In these religious ceremonies, the participants are frequently seen to roll their eyes in such a way as to show the whites of their eyes. This is not a purposeful act. It is an involuntary reaction to the religious voodoo ceremony. This man is Brazilian. He has South American indian in him. Voodoo or similar style religions are a part of his culture. I think that his eyes at 1:26 are showing this characteric whitening of a participant of a voodoo ceremony. My point is that this man has strong energy.
When you look at the Brasilian man, you can see he is very stout. He almost looks as if he is bursting at the seems. This is another detail that people with strong energy will show. They look like they are bursting with growth. I think this man is so full of energy that the Japanese man has become captivated by it. He wants to be near the energy. The energy is in the Brazilian man, so the Japanese man wants to be near the Brasilian man.
If you watch at 1:37, the Brasilian man again caressess the Japanese man's head. He is trying to give the Japanese man what he wants. The Japanese man is not happy. He is acting involuntarily. He is so exhausted, his only thoughts are of being near the energy in the Brazilian man. The referee recognizes this look in the face of the Japanese fighter and pushes them apart so they go to their seperate corners. Watch the Japanese man, he cannot take his eyes from the Brazilian man.
At 1:43 or so, watch the big cornerman for the Japanese fighter. He too sees the symptoms in his fighter just like the referee did. The cornerman reaches around the fighter and places his hand over the fighters heart. He is trying to shield the fighters heart so as to break the energy connection.
The energy connection that has entangled the two men involves the heart. The heart is a source of energy. You do not have to take my word for this. If you go into another thread in either the lounge or the soap box, you will find a thread entitled "Jet Li's wisdom". The author of the post is Mei Hua.
In the interview with Jet Li, he says "If you can change a man with your heart, you don't have to fight him". Jet Li knows that the heart possesses energy. He knows that kung fu builds up a strong heart, which in turn builds up strong heart energy. Jet Li knows that an experienced kung fu man can use this large strong reservoir of heart energy to control other people the way Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker control people.
In this video, the Brazilian man has unintentionally gained control of the japanese man. The japanese man would do anything to be near the energy of the Brazilian man. This type of phenomenon is not unique to martial arts.
The same phenomenon accounts for why some people are holy. Holy people have a strong heart and strong heart energy. Regular people want to be around them to be near that energy. The same effect accounts for the popularity of many famous people or entertainers. The fans want to be near that heart energy.
If you look at 1:56 when the two men walk out for the announcement of the winner, you can see that the Japanese man has still not broken the connection. He walks right at the Brazilian man so that the referee must jerk the Japanese man's hand to wake him from his hypnotized walk and stand where he should. |

Rep Power: 46 | | | Ofcourse you know happeh, That was only my opinion of the fight. Though you do make some interesting points. I have been in several fights in my life, amateur street fights ofcourse, and I know there was an untamed energy there even then. Some may call it adreniline, others have never been in a fight and offer a suggestion of what it might be based on anothers expirence. It does not bother me at all. If someone offers an opinion, regardless of how they came about it, I accept it willingly. As long as it is appropriate to the situation. Some people are offended easily. There is much I have to learn. I accept all thankfully.
One person, Six threads locked, in one Discussion. Reminds me of a story about a boy who did'nt learn. All the other boys touched the burner, realised it was HOT, They never did it again on purpose. Though that one boy kept on touching the burner.........just a friendly joke.
