Rep Power: 100 | | | ANYONE with at least reasonable strength for a grown male can break a brick, depending on the brick, and if it is on spacers or flat supported from the ground. Cosmos palm is yet another buzzword scam for either superfluous nonsense, or very common off the shelve practices that are known to almost everyone who is serious in chinese martial arts. Just a word sounding nicer in english than the usual iron palm varieties.

Rep Power: 5 | | | It's the magical miracle palm you see in kung fu movies.. I don't belive you need magic to break a brick. Just practise iron body parts and strengthen your arms

Agreed.
Although, it is fun to break them...when you smash them with hammers.

Rep Power: 100 | | | Breaking bricks and boards is a good test of impact, focus, etc it is also a good goal type of training method. I have found that someone that can break several bricks tends to have very powerful strikes. Iron palm training is verly linked to breaking they go hand in hand (npi).

Rep Power: 100 | | | But it's more that if you have iron palm skills you can break (several tightly stacked) bricks, but if you can break a brick it doesn't mean you have iron palm skills or "immense power". Calling iron palm training variations "magic cosmos extreme universe special power guru super sayasin extreme extreme power training" does not make it any different.

With that skill I can palm strike someone a thousand miles away.

Rep Power: 100 | | | Training iron palm without breaking is like training to punch by punching air without hitting anything. But what I think was meant by the story of cosmos palm is not the name but the method of learning that is where the flaws are.

Rep Power: 100 | | Depends. Some side of a cupboard or rack with flexible enough sidewall (heavy enough or bolted to the wall to not fall down). A simple desk with resonating plate, with a cushioning leather bag or rubber pad (dickes Filz-Mauspad). A plastic garden flower bowl filled with clean (not rotten) sand.
Some special constructions I won't tell you ... Originally made of animal leftover.
Don't strike hard, just drop the hand.

You can also use the same with water, again, clean not dirty.
