Rep Power: 0 | | | Muay Thai, the next big thing to MMA? MMA has made the Boxing Industry look pathetic both on and off the ring. This killing machine grossly made huge amounts of money taking the evangelical approach over the last 10 years. Well, what are your thoughts on Muay Thai rising up to the MMA level? MMA is comprised mostly of Muay Thai/Kickboxing techniques, so Muay Thai should be as popular if not more known worldwide right? With Muay Thai Fights illustrating some of the most deadliest skills, people may point their eyes and money, to what gives them the most entertainment.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this…
Muay Thai Rocks!

Rep Power: 100 | | | Say, didn't you post this exact same collection of assumptions and false conclusions on another forum?

Rep Power: 100 | | | I'm not a big fan of Muay Thai fights
I don't see the added value of the clinching
and in many MT fight the elbows aren't allowed, so that's a big miss as well
worst thing are the MT music and the ritual dance the fighters do before the fight starts
I'd rather go for the K-1 rules
short clinching, no annoying music or dumb dances

Rep Power: 107 | | | I think people enjoy MMA mainly because of all the options you have in the ring. I don't see a regression from MMA to MT where their options are restricted.
What is exactly the OP's agenda?

Rep Power: 39 | | | K1 is mostly made up of Muay Thai Fighters. And it's totally more fun to watch than a traditional MT match.

I like watching the ritual dance in MT!
I find MT fun to watch, although I don't get all the rules yet.

Rep Power: 39 | | | It could be as popular as MMA it could not it all depends on the marketing done for the organization/fights/and individual competitors. Thought I do enjoy watching UFC a lot of there popularity is do to the fact of the marketing done to keep it alive. Also, the last couple of fighters I've seen where MT practitioners anyway. |

Rep Power: 220 | | It is as popular as MMA, in the Striking world.
It is also a huge proponent to many MMA Fighters.
