Rep Power: 22 | | | Unless he has absolutely no takedown defense at all...it wouldn't be pretty. I would shoot reapetedly until I either got him down or I ate a stiff combo off his sprawl. If I got him down, then yes, I think I could tie him up and just land shots until he got frustrated and quit.
Any other scenario and I'd be needing an ambulance.

Rep Power: 8 | | | I'd like to tell myself I could hang.. but sheee.. that boy is in prime condition, and is conditioned to take hits all day long. I got long legs and a broad variety of skills, but when it comes down to dishing it and taking it He's a pro.
No way.

Rep Power: 22 | | | There's no doubt in my mind that I could take a punch from DeLaHoya...it's just the 15 that would follow in rapid succession that would bother me

Rep Power: 25 | | | ok.....so far all the MA guys who have from 0.235647145 (lol) to 10 years experience still don't think they could beat Delahoya...
if you think that he could just take hits alot better...then do u think that your school should train how to "take hits"

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'll bite. Yes, i think I could beat De La Hoya, because you used the word "fight." I assume that means I can use pretty much any techniques I want to. Hell, If I had to, I'd buttscoot...
Had you said boxing match or even kickboxing match, the answer would be NO WAY.
But I am bigger and train in a more diverse way than ODLH, so I think I could pull off a win in an NHB fight.
BTW, ODLH is my favorite boxer. He hits like a damn truck--and fast, so you can be sure that no part of my game plan would involve trading hands with him. Even with the size diff. |

Yeah, pretty much.
I'd say if I could take him down then I'd probably be able to finish him, but if he has a good wrestling background nobody knows about then I'd be running into a problem.
What are the rules btw |

Rep Power: 100 | | | I would out of deep of my heart say YOU JUST DON'T KNOW. When you would have problems sparring with clowns in your school, you can assume it would not be better if facing a world boxing champion. If not, you have to spar with Oscar to say if you couldn't. I am strict against all this "Oh, I couldn't win against this, this or THIS guy". It's not the mindset of a fighter. A fighter can accept when meeting someone who is better, but he would not run around telling everybody who doesn't get on a tree fast enough whom he would all lose to. It's childish, also. It sometimes is viewed as the epitome of the "honest John", but I don't. Oscar does boxing, and boxing is a very limited sports if you train something that exposes you to similar attacks. There will be no ref telling "stop boxing" when we are in a clinch, so all I would have to do is do the silly Big George double arm defense to protect my head, take shots to the ribs (a conditioned guy CAN take some of that), and wait for the opening to get into a clinch to start with stuff he does not excel at, grapplingwise. As long as there is a class difference in the moving and generalship, he has the chance of the superior mover, but he has a problem when he gets grabbed _one_ time. Stop putting people on a pedestal, they only train more since they are paid to do so, or have the time. On the other hand I also don't trash someone because he does that "limited" style, or does things I wouldn't do.

and by saying that i don't think that i could beat him...i mean not w/ my current experience...maybe after i get a year or 2 of shaolin temple training in me then ya..sure, why not....but deffinately not now!...of course he wouldn't expect to be kick...or have really any defence from the waist down....wut after all i'm still only 16...and he's a pro boxer!!!!lol

Rep Power: 24 | | | I voted no. If I were 10 years older and had 10 more years of training, yes, I probably could.
