Rep Power: 13 | | | are you mostly fat or muscle For the time being, don't worry about weight. think more in terms of body fat %. Get your fat % measured. You will want to be in the 10% or less range if you want to compete at any weight level.

Rep Power: 13 | | | the experience level depends on the person. Just enter tournaments and see how you do. I entered my first open wrestling tournament after about 6months and it showed me where i needed to improve. It will most likely take a few years before your real comfortable.
each body type is different. You must learn to handle tall and thin to short and stocky. Technique will make all the difference when you go up against someone that is much stronger than you.

Rep Power: 18 | | | Do you study grappling/wrestling styles Is the competition MMA-like MMA type of competition may be a lot different from Judo or TMA competitions, try to gather all the technique you can whic suits best the type of competition you will enter, and watch lots of vids related to that specific style, experience will come with time, training and tournaments, also from good Senseis. |

18% bodyfat
yeah..
might want to lose some of that yeah...
still...
doesn't have to do that much with your weight tho....
you can do great at a 10% rate @ 165 and 185...
takes a different kind of training, that's all...

Rep Power: 0 | | | Well, depends on your body type. I'd say work for functional strength, you'll probably lose some fat along the way but some people are just naturally fatter and it doesn't cause them problems. Just look at both Emelianenkos. |

igor vovchancyn is the same way. its extremely hard for me to lose any fat when it seems others are blowing me by. even my brother lost 10 lbs in a few weeks without really trying.
i run nearly 6 days a week, as well as watching wat im eating, and obviously kickboxing and TMA training, so i dont know where the funk is.

Wow, that's odd. Now I hate to ask this because I like to assume the best, but how far do you run and how long does it take you A lot of people I know sit on an eliptical machine for 3 hours a day and still don't seem to loose weight. These are the same people who "don't sweat" when they work out, it's funny how they start sweating when I turn the resistance up on them.
If you are pushing yourself as hard as you need to there, maybe try looking at your eating habits

Rep Power: 37 | | dude, 2 things u need to change...
1. diet
2. exercise routine.
30-40 minutes of daily running who told you to do that... u want best option...
do 10 X 100 m sprints, then increase time and distance...
dude I m kind a biased to my routines...
this used to my running routine http://www.lifestyledecision.com/Hea...structure.html
my get fit routine http://www.lifestyledecision.com/Hea...s/routine.html
I used Running routine in the evening and Get Fit routine in the mornings...
Diet is kind a hard to describe in one post here... but I'll write something about diet too Ok

boxers run long distance like that, and since i kickbox it seemed the likely answer. also i tought that sprinting was considered plyometric adn thereofr should only be done 1-2 times a week.

Rep Power: 39 | | | What I'm getting at is that if you aren't sweating your ass off, then you're probably not working hard enough.
When I run, I don't run for distance (that is just a by-product), I run to keep my heartrate at a certain level for a certain amount of time. So I keep myself working hard for 25-30 minutes, then allow a 5 minute cool-down. I do about 3 miles in 25 minutes and that seems good for me. As I get into better condition I will not run for a longer period of time, I will simply run faster in that alloted timeframe so exponentailly I go a longer distance.
