Rep Power: 0 | | | Yang Tea I am looking for caffeine-free “Yang” tea that I can use after workouts and before forms practice so that metabolism and blood continue to flow, etc. I would also consider drinking these in the morning. Does anyone know of a good, inexpensive “Yang” tea on the market or should I think about making my own from herbs that have Yang/warm energy (like ginseng, astragalus, dang gui, etc.). I’m not TOO worried about taste but it must be drinkable and non-toxic of course. Conversely I would also like a Yin tea for night time and muscle rebuilding periods and to make sure that I am not Yang overloaded. I do have access to an herb shop in Chinatown that I use to buy my dit da jow herbs so I would not mind making my own. Any suggestions? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Not yet but I thought I would ask here first. It's a bit of a trip from my house and I'm not sure when I'll be down that way next. Although I guess I have to go there anyway if I'm going to make tea..... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Thanks for the info guys. In order to avoid caffeine I think I am going to have to try to come up with some sort of herb concoction instead of tea. It will probably not taste too good but that isn't the point anyway. I'll see what the folks at Pacific Herbs have to say. |

Rep Power: 5 | | For yang, try the firestarter at the link below. Its one of my favorite herbal combos. It tastes great. http://www.cookscorner.net/Tea/Herbal_LooseTea.html |

Rep Power: 41 | | Sorry wingy, Mei is on point as usual. Caffeine levels of various beverages:
Coffee 80 mg Cola 45 mg Black Tea 40 mg Flavored Tea 40 mg Oolong Tea 30 mg Green Tea 20 mg White Tea 15 mg Decaf Tea 5-10 mg Herbal Tea
0 mg
Green Tea is low, and white tea...well it's even lower. Heck Decaf Tea is not much different and tastes like....dirt.
Go with Adagio, go with white Yang Tea, and don't sweat the caffeine.

PS - Peppermint is an herbal..no caffeine. |

Rep Power: 41 | | Also, if anyone wants a free $5 dollar gift certificate to Adagio.com you need to PM me with your email and real name. I'll hook you up.

$5 will easily cover a sampler of peppermint or Yang tea. They are loose teas though, so you best have some way to steeping them |
