Rep Power: 5 | | | Back to the topic of jow, Has anyone actually made the tom bisio formulas? I've seen quite a few formulas that were very similar with just a few changes to the herbs. If you have made therm, how do they compare with others? |

Rep Power: 61 | | | I get a pretty sizeable number of orders for raw herbs from people wanting to make those formulas, primarily for the "tendon lotion" as he calls it. Ive never personally made any of those recipes but have occasionally made a soak that is very similar to his tendon relaxing soak and have decent success with it. San Huang San is awesome stuff but I sell/use the original formula versus the modified one he offers in his book.
I also sell the Hua Tuo plaster that if I recall he briefly mentions. That stuff sells quite well and a number of people absolutely love the stuff.
While not incredibly potent, its a nice little set of formulas/products for those who want something simple to start off with... |

Rep Power: 150 | | | Do you have any formulas that would help bursitis? 'Cause my left knee has flared up the last couple of weeks. Hot soaks don't do much.

Not specifically for bursitis. But generally, bursitis is characterized by an inflammation of the bursa sacks, and any cooling recipe (san huang san, a cooling dit da) will help. If it is a result of an injury, dit da jow or wan will help as well... |

Yeah, I bought some jow up at Brendon Lai's shop in San Francisco a year ago, but have not used it on my injuries because I didn't know this at the time. I have no idea what kind of jow I have, so I don't know whether to try it on the injuries or if I had bought some conditioning jow.
Is there an all purpose jow? I am thinking that since they only sold one type, it might be that?
