Rep Power: 18 | | Knock out your fever or cold! A cure for a high fever or cold.(works well for flu's & bad allergies too.)
CATNIP
When you have a fever of 100-104 or a cold one of the best remedies is a cup of catnip tea, place a tablespoon of cat nip in a cloth (tea bag or a small tea ball). It is very important that the catnip is organic, because non-organic catnip can contain pesticides or growth hormones. Catnip help reduce your fever and get rid of symptoms like nausea, headache, and helps your muscles feel relaxed. If you have a fever the catnip makes you sweat which is a good thing because sweat lets out all your bodies impurities and lower a high temperature. For a potent tea add a tea bag of ginger as well and a spoon of local honey if you have a stuff nose. Honey that local helps you from getting allergies. (Also may help muscle pains.)
This method works better that antibiotics because it's more potent and won't hurt your body. It usually help you get over a fever in two days. Also be sure to drink a lot of 100% berry juices.
(Don't drink Gatorade because has lot of sugar which can bring up a fever, so replace it with Vitamin water. the best Vitamin water for a fever a XXX-Acia berry. Gives your amune system a huge boost. If your stomach is extra sensitive to juice then drink Recharge instead.)
GOLDENSEAL
Another potent remedy is Goldenseal. Goldenseal can be found in your local health food store. The best way to take it is in a small shot glass with hot water drop about thirty drops then quickly drink it. Goldenseal is good for Colds, fevers, allergies, and any other sicknesses. If your starting to feel sick you should start taking goldenseal twice a day and it'll knock out what ever sickness you have. |

Rep Power: 45 | | | Isn't it fairly expensive, like 25 dollars for a gatorade size bottle?

You only turn blue if you drink a bottle a day and the serving is 30 drops.

Rep Power: 150 | | | I actually like colloidal silver for minor illnesses. Just a very few drops or, yeah, you have problems. There's also a colloidal silver ointment out there, haven't seen it in a few years but several years ago when a cut on my finger got infected (despite using Neosporin on it) my doctor handed me a tube of the stuff and said, slather it on for 3 days, call me if it doesn't get better. Knocked out the infection in just a few hours.
When I have a cold with a lot of congestion I make a tea with dried ginger & honey. Clears up the congestion for hours.

Yes. Colliodal silver is wonderful for sickness and help to fight things off. But it is quite expensive compared to goldenseal which is more potent.
Another way to clear congestion is raw garlic. That'll blast your nostrils! And it also good for headache cause by allergen.
Waring: Garlic is very spicy raw. Eat with caution.

Rep Power: 150 | | | Raw garlic is pungent, not spicy, but yeah, definitely not to everyone's tastes. You should try my hubby's onion tea sometime...
I've never had any noticeable results with goldenseal but enough people swear by it that it must work for most.
Other helpful home remedies for colds/flu:
- Chamomile tea w/honey: good for soothing flu-related aches and sore throat
- Homemade chicken soup: made from as fresh ingredients as possible, gives strength & may help kill off viruses
- Pho: the next best thing to homemade, add lots of jalapeno, sriracha & lime.
- Kimchi: just in case it's bird flu (just kidding) ... it's high in vitamin C & the chili peppers also help clear sinuses
- Sauerkraut: similar properties to kimchi, less spicy-hot.
- Chili peppers in general: clears sinuses, relaxes blood vessels.
- Onions: like garlic, have antibiotic properties, but you gotta eat them raw.
- Black tea w/onion & lemon: My husband's favorite cold remedy, but I can't stand it.
- Echinacea: I notice no one really talks about this herb anymore. It never seemed to work for me. But it's supposed to build your immune system.
- Airborne: Take this as soon as you feel symptoms coming on. It's just a big giant vitamin & herb supplement in seltzer tab form.
With home remedies, mostly you have to find the one that works for you. And get as educated as possible on them (the FDA doesn't allow most claims to be printed on the bottles).
But don't rely on yourself, either. You can try a homeopathic specialist or a TCM doctor, both of whom focus on balancing out the body. You might be trying to clear congestion with raw garlic, to little effect -- a TCM doctor will probably recommend something else based on you being too damp/too dry/too hot/too cold -- for starters.
So most everything recommended so far is a good home remedy but is more all-around treatment, if you want to zero in on a problem go to a specialist.

Airborne actually works quite well for generally healthy individuals, and is composed in large part of Chinese herbs used to release the exterior, before external influence has penetrated to the interior. Generally, things like cold and flu are treated with either wind-heat or wind-cold releasing herbs, if taken early on. Formula changes once the pathogens have penetrated to the interior. There are several patents out there that treat external symptoms pretty well, ie Jade Screen, etc
I dont know much about ColdChaster vitamins, but from their website, they certainly dont appear to me to be all-natural; they boast a bunch of isolated vitamins and such...great for burning a hole in your stomach. |

Beware of anything that says simply "all natural." It's right up there with "organic" as words that are just slapped randomly on products because they're so broadly defined.

well cold casher vitamin is exactly what the title says it is.
so it more simply
Neospeon a a drug prescription, and can harm your body, and can also have some risky side effects. So it's better to use vitamins, juice, teas, and herbs to heal.
Work better to.
