Rep Power: 61 | | | Serious Bruises (large pics inside) One of my wholesale customers that I sell a lot of dit da jow to is a licensed acupuncturist and chiropractor in New Mexico. He just sent me the following pictures with permission to post them up, so I thought Id share them with everyone...
One of his patients was bike riding, was thrown from her bike, and landed on the corner of a large boulder. She suffered a serious contusion on her thigh. She immediately started on our JKD dit da jow (1st and 2nd pic) and shortly thereafter went to see the acupuncturist, who got her on to our Bruise JIUce dit da jow (3rd and 4th pics), which is definitely the better choice for this type of injury. The pictures below span over the course of 20 days.
Its not very often you see bruises of this magnitude and figured some of you may be interested in seeing them. If you have any of your own youve documented, by all means post them up... |

Now that's a bruise!
Did they say what that was from?
I've had some pretty severe bruising like that on my forearms from conditioning, to the point the arms were swollen to triple their normal size and weeped blood, but unfortunately didn't take any pictures |

Im not sure exactly how it went down, but she had an accident while mountain biking or something, and landed on a boulder. 1 point for rock, 0 points for human... =\ |

Did they say what they did for treatment, was it just Dit Da Jow or a combination of things?
Either way, I'd think that's the type of injury you wont be shaking off so easily |

Rep Power: 61 | | | Im not sure if the acupuncturist needled her to open anything up, but the treatment consisted pretty much of just our JKD jow and our Bruise JIUce (which is a really powerful stasis remover).
I imagine that while the bulk of the stasis is gone in the last picture, that her body is still busy repairing a good deal of tissue... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I was taught that the quickest way to heal bruises, such as those in your photos, is to frequently re-apply Dit Da Jow while sunbathing a bruised area. The combination (jow & sun) is allegedly synergistic and greatly accelerates the healing process. Personally, I have no experience with the combo since I cannot sunbathe (precancerous lesions). |

Rep Power: 150 | | | Some of my bruises & scrapes I wish I had pictures for.
Age 11, I bounced off a foam roll we were using as a tackle dummy and slid across the backyard on the left side of my face. All scraped & bruised. Didn't know about jow back then but my mom covered the entire side with a mixture of raw aloe goo right out of the leaf, and vitamin E oil. 3 days later the scabs fell away with no scarring.
1st time I went skiing, my niece & I tangled up at one point & the tip of her ski impacted the inside of my upper arm. By that night, my whole arm looked like the leg pictured above. I knew about jow by then but not much other than to rub it on. Took about 2 weeks to clear up.
Same arm got banged up in a sparring match with several dark purple bruises. My dai si jye took one look, grabbed the school's bottle of jow & went to work. Bruises were yellow the next day & gone in 3 days.

Rep Power: 18 | | Wow. those are some of the worst bruises I've ever seen.
My brother has a similar one on his arm its pretty big but defiantly not as big as those.
She must be in serious pain.

Rep Power: 40 | | | You shoulda seen my friend after he was knocked off his mountain bike by a mini-bus, onto the concrete and tar. He proudly hung his nasty photos all over his fridge for years. He literally was a walking scab/bruise.
My other friend got knocked off his motorbike by a car and lost all the skin on his back. That was pretty.
Worst one I ever got, was on a camping trip ( I was about 13 ), and was hiking, and I slipped down a tiny hill and I landed with my lower abdomen on the tip of a stick/pole that was pointing out the ground ( that was set up by someone else for camping ). If it had been sharp, I would have impaled myself on it. It was blunt, so it just made me feel like I had been kicked by a bull. It wasn't a massive bruise, though as it healed it spread quite a bit. The worst part, was that it was just pure black. It was a few weeks before it faded to a nice purple. LOL. I had actually forgotten all about that till I saw those pics above. Nasty !
