That's a scary weapon. In my old school, one of the Sifu's used it. I fooled around with it a few times, but never got the nerve to do the wrap around the neck move.

I got em spinning and just let go and ran, still got tagged...

A Kung Fu brother uses one, in his training experiences he almost took out his temple, gave his leg a severe whack, took a hard one in the kidney and at a competition doing a performance with one almost killed a judge because she didn't give him room and kept moving in closer to see it, had he not adjusted a nasty whip, it would have cracked her head wide open.

it reminds me of a rope dart, are they completely separate weapons or is rope dart kind of like a training weapon for that?

There's only so much edumacating one can learnt another in a post

haha true enough..but usually you start with fixing the worst parts and work your way up to the more complicated things. There are some things you can get away with more so than others.
