Yeah i agree you can train through it. Its actually a part of the recovery process. Forces increased blood flow do to the renewed activity and help clear out lactic acid at and stuff.

Though its hard, I always feel better after that next workout.

On the extreme side... http://www.aquacityresort.com/cryotherapy.aspx

Massage is great if you can afford it and have time.

Personally I find doing the simple 24 form once - with good flow if even terrible technique - makes an incredible difference - specific yoga postures with good technique and flow also work miracles.

plumb : " qigong can be a big help once you get good at it (which does take some time)"

i am no qigong expert

but started when i stepped up my training a a few years ago

and the effect (or is that affect? can never remember) was significant enuff

for me to continue using it in a cool down

i dont really subscribe to that 'it takes years for qigong to be useful' line

the breathing and movement will increase circulation

in the blood circuit and the lymphatic circuit

and hence wash toxins out quickly

without adding to the levels of said toxins in the muscle tissues

the key is keep it simple

four directions

something lke that

ZMA will help you with this... as well as massage... In India, traditional wrestlers does massage(called Maalish) before & after workout... Normal its done by Herbal oil prepared in Akhada's (Wrestling gym). You can use normal oil for this...

Oh I forgot creatine also helps... Dr John Berardi always suggest using creatine on daily basis. You can read his stuff on T-nation.com

Good article on DOMS. Not anything to do with TCM but it's good info....
