Rep Power: 100 | | | So if all you ever wanted is some alufoil that LOOKS like a knife but isn't and cannot cut anything, this is what you like.

No, this is not what I like. I have stopped buying knives/weapons over the internet or out of mail order books. I have to see what I'm buying now.
Those knives on that web site are like the samurai practice swords made out of aluminum alloy. I bet that guy that posted about those knives will think twice before asking peoples oppinions.....LOL

Rep Power: 45 | | | Buck knife are good. Also The Edge makes some pretty descent knives (they make some crapy ones too). The edge makes good Tanto knives and butterfly knives as well as a few hunting knives. Swords by the edge are ma ma hu hu (or in English....so, so).

Rep Power: 54 | | I look at my cold steel knives as cheap and functional but ugly.
Dunno where you live, but i'd probably get a lady something like this, Kershaw Rainbow Leek 1660VIB
or depending on the lady, one of these... BLACKHAWK ! *Ayoob Razorback
First one is smooth, pretty and easy to open. Second one is stiff, solid and relatively compact....
...like i said, depends on the lady.
Paging Aqira...

Rep Power: 40 | | There are several good to great brands. It's less about brand, and more about how much are you willing to spend ?
I went for Kershaw, not because I think they are the best on earth, but because they are a nice middle ground of quality/price.
There are some really nice Cold Steel ones, but the ones I like the most are damn pricey.
This is the shop I go to for supplies. They have a huge selection of most major brands, and information for every knife. Might help you choose something. Just click their "knifes" section on the left. Sharp Edge - Home
