Paleo? Zone? Gluten free? 4-Hour Body? List your preferred diet plan

Knocking heads over what diet plan is the best for each person is always a fun way to waste time. Which one do you follow or recommend? What has worked for you in the past? And why did you choose that plan?

For me -- I've tried South Beach in the the past, and 4-Hour Body (which appears to be an amalgamation of low-carb/slow-carb diets already out there). Currently on the "It's Christmas And I Don't Give A Bleep" diet which has some pretty solid results. If you're trying to put on weight, that is.

So, go ahead, pontificate about what you think is the greatest diet in the world -- for general weight loss and overall health. For specific weight loss/weight gain, such as cutting weight for a fight, check out or start separate threads.

I dunno. I'm Type II so I have to watch our for diabetic ketosis. I tend to avoid the hard line diets (no matter which way they roll).

I think seriously the best thing is everything in moderation, eat what your body needs when it tells you & exercise regularly. It may not be the "best" for a result oriented need, but it will probably be the healthiest .

I'm currently doing some very

I'm currently doing some very heavy lifting and my diet contains a huge amount of protein (220g daily).  For the rest I should do better and stick to a strict diet but I just seem to eat what I want.

BTW - I will be trying to bench 495lbs with assist from bands tomorrow so wish me luck.  I'll post a video if I'm successfull.

The bands allow you to bench more than your normally can and as the bar gets lower it gets a little easier so this will be training my explosion press.
