Pro- The layout of this book is great, and it is very apparent that the authors wanted to create a unique book. Inside the fundamentals of Aikido are discussed, as well as the philosophies of the art. There are also a lot of unique training exercises provided throughout the book. After reading it I feel as though I personally have a better understanding of the physical and spiritual aspect of Aikido.
Con- Technique wise there is very little discussed. Although a lot of techniques are demonstrated, the simple drawings are not enough to do anything more than get a basic idea for the movements. For a person with a background in this art or similar, it may be of more help. Actual photographs would have drastically helped.
Overall I liked this book because, like I said, it gave me a better understanding of where Aikido is coming from. It also gave me a few things to think about regarding teaching and alternative methods of practice.
