pretty good movie with jet li as the main character(s). the special effects were nice and there were a few good fight scenes that helped to make up for the "average movie" feeling. this is NOT li's best film ... no way no how, but it was a different direction ( even if only s little bit) i did like how he tried to use the concept of hard and soft between good li and bad li. worth a watch.

An interesting plot and premise can't save this from mediocredty.
While Jet Li's fighting skills are top notch, his acting skills leave some things to be desired. But that kind of goes for the whole cast on this one. No one actor is terrible in it, or even somewhat poor. It's all just, well, average.
I think the biggest problem I had with this movie are the scenes when he fights himself. Now truly this is a technical wonder and few films have ever tried to attempt this and I think I now know why. When you have live actors "physically" interacting with digital characters, the SFX crew can modify what the creature is doing digitally and make movement adjustments that look real ( Pirates of the Carribean for example when the British sailors battle the undead pirates toward the end. ) But when you have to have two live actors that need to interact, and especially here where they're supposed to actually touch, it gets difficult to match them up so it looks and feels right. Now I've got a very technical eye ( I do graphic design professionally ) so I notice the "miscues" and bad cut-and-paste effects more than others. Some people may not even notice it, but for me it really killed the suspension of disbelief.
